hey guys, thanks so much for the replies.
what is an icv/tps and an italian tune up? i don't know what you guys are talking about.
thanks!
www.koalamotorsport.com, follow "complementary repair instructions", E34, hunting idle for how to replace the ICV.
The ICV is the idle control valve - the part responsible for a smooth idle.
An italian tune up is slang for going out and running car hard - high rpms basically. Italian tune ups sometimes work for cars that putt around town all day and never have any extended higher RMP run time - help blow the carbon and crud out of the car that often gums ups misc engine parts.
Hope this helps...
