    Default Question for CD43 users

All, I have a CD43 installed on my US 1993 M5. It seems to stay in the power off/anti theft mode even when the ignition is on. Has anyone experience this problem? Thanks in advance for any help, it was working great prior to this happening.

Sounds like the connector for switched power is bad.

Check Pin 5, the Violet/White wire for 12v with the ignition on.

IIRC it also won't come on if the memory wire has no power.

Did you do something different or did it just stop working? Could be a fuse, radio fuses sit both under the hood and under the rear seat in my 1990 535.

Went outside to check the cable in question today, and the radio was working fine. Checked all fuses, and nothing was loose/blown. If it starts happening again I will pull the radio and check the connections for the violet/white wire.

Well it happened again, it went back to anti-theft mode. I check the violet/white cable, and all fuses, but no luck. I put the OEM tape deck back in, and it works fine, any suggestions?

Still having the issue with the anti-theft staying on and the unit unable to use. Would there be any way to make it work by modifying the anti-theft wire? Any suggestions would be great.

When mine was fecked, it was only connected to pins 5,9 and 15 not much light in it but the antitheft was quiet and it played..
Try disconnecting some pins, just stay away from all the twisted ones, they go to the speakers..
    Maybe worth a try!?!
