    Default did i have projector fogs?

    man... the front end of my car has been through some rough days...

    i bought i foglight to replace the one i have with the busted lens (as opposed to the one with the cracked lens) shown here on the right ...

    so did i have ellipsoid projector fogs? is that what that is?

    the one on the left i bought at a yard before i pulled my bumper off silly me.

    The light on the right is a projector type fog light. The fog on the left is the free form light that uses a 9005 bulb whereas the projector uses an H1 bulb.

    thanks - so that's good news and bad news, i have cool lights but they're broken

    If the projector is still good you can buy new lenses from BavAuto for $50. Part numbers 63 17 1 384 233(left) and 63 17 1 384 234(right).

    If you want. You can replace the broken lens with acrylic lens. I replaced the fog lights $$$ once already and 6 months later it cracked again to rocks. So, I found this website www.bmwlight.com that offered acrylic replacements lens. It has been over 5 years now. No yellowing of the lens and it seem to be stronger than the oem glass. It has held up great.
