Default K-Mac rear camber adjusters cont...

I've had these installed for about 3 years (without checking the dates) and with the recent hit I took in the rear wheel I took the "movie star" in to get checked out.

Suspension guy says he can't do anything to fix probs as the bushes are too busted up... WTF?

So went and bought new bushes from K-Mac ($70) not bad.

BUT when I questioned the guy at K-Mac about replacing these, he claims they should only last about 2 years.

Something else to add to the equation when lowering your ride.

That's worth noting. I am about to go and order that camber/toe correction kit for mine to de-accellerate the inner edge wear.

It's not bad I have been able to get 45,000kms out of this set of rears with a couple of track days thrown into the mix.

Greg did you find an improvement in steering feel/response once these bushes were in?

    Absolutely.
For some people they might have to replace the bushes before they replace their tyres.

The front adjusters are still good and according to K-Mac "last for years"

Woah Greg, were they saying the K-Mac eccentric rear bushes only last for like 50,000km/2 years? That's rough... but $70 is good

    1. Am I right in thinking you not have to by the whole kit again?
    2. Did you have to goto K-Mac in Rockdale?
    3. Have you felt any improvement to your car's on-road manners now?

BTW; thanks for the blast in your car, I thought your it felt great. I just had the LE out for a spin and I gotta say I love the V8s... but I also understand why many love the i6. I don't think I can sell the 535 now, but how will the politics be with 3 girlfriends under the same roof (it may work out to be unsustainable...)

Yep that's right - didn't need to buy the whole kit again (win).
Went to Rockdale to get the parts as I had to pick up mo-in-law from her sisters who also happens to live in Rockdale and really close to K-Mac shop.
Haven't put in the new bushes yet due to lack of funds, have to get an oil leak fixed on the Lowdeo first.

So you are finally admitting to having the LE... hahaha (bastard!)
Did you find that fault in the ignition?

On the point of the 3 girlfriends, well, the E28 is really way past its "use by" date. Maybe time to bless it?
