    Default Lighting Q

    1. Where can I buy an exact replacement LED or LEDs for the mood lighting of an E38/E39?

    2. How can I go about retrofitting those LEDs to illuminate the area behind the door handle in the front? IN the rear, i can just tap the power for the supposed illuminated window switches.

    3. What bulb can I use to get a super white illumination on my rear license plate lights?

Just curious. Does anyone have any custom lighting going on in their car? or does anyone have the fade in/fade out interior lights? I heard few E34s have it.

Good question. Fading lights has a much slicker appearance than the regular on or off interior lights

No, I'm not talking about the dome and map lights. I'm talking about those small amber LEDs between the buttons to turn on and off the lights. Anyone know where to get an exact replacement?

There was a thread about the fade earlier.. can't locate it but I recall that some people believed they have fade in/out lights, then went to their car to find that it was actually just regular on/off. There was some argument about whether the fading lights were in ANY E34s, people were getting confused with E38s.
