Spoiler. What a good name for that.
So, at the local burger place and spot this thing. A cursory review tells...
M badge
Red caliper covers
Momo (?) wheels
Nascar-like spoiler screwed on
Auto tranny
Older 89/90/91 chassis, no sidemarker on fender
Amber front/rear side markers
Stripped bare "racing" type steering wheel
... and so on.
Either this is some powerful sleeper dragster, or another awful attempt at something.

Spoiler. What a good name for that.
is it adjustable? fast does not have to equal pretty.
I think I saw that guy running at Darlington this past weekend! I think he was in the Nationwide race Friday night...
I kinda like the look of the back momo wheel without the cover... if you took all four covers off it wouldnt look that bad.
Looks kinda angry...
The purists out there will hate it I suppose.
I've seen many US M5's with amber side markers. Just sayingOriginally Posted by Qube
What a waist of sheet metal. That spoiler does nothing.

All US E34's had amber side markers/turn signals.
And the front turn signal repeaters didn't get put into the fenders until the '94 E34's, so it's a pre-'94 car. Can't quite tell if it's a 525 or 535 though.
Other telltale signs of non-M5ness is the skirts, rear bumper, and no license filler plate on the rear.
There's an "M5i" that I see a lot around here. Need to get a pics of that one as it's atrocities are many.

Not a purist. But I'm at a loss to see why anybody would rivet a bit of black cardboard to their boot lid.Originally Posted by Ferret
