    Default Band Touring....in a TOURING!

Welp...because of gas prices the band is leaving the van @ home and taking the E34 525it out for an extended run throughout CA. Only about 1000 mi roundtrip. Leaving on Tuesday. With only two members in the band it's totally doable. Hope to avg 25 mpg on the trip.

Done all preventive maint. Wagon has always been reliable.

However, if anyone knows a good indy shop in the following CA cities please list...just in case:

    Santa Barbara
    Fresno
    Sacto
    Placerville
    Chico
    San Francisco
    Monterey

Don't forget about Davis on that trip - just west of Sacramento on 80... quarter system = kids still in school this time of year, and any band that has a Moog would be just the thing for those weed-friendly aggies... Too bad you're not there today - they have this "Earth Festival" going on which brings out a lot of people. Don't know of any good local shops though.

Sounds like a great trip - I'm sure you guys will have a blast!

Only shop I know of down there is GS Tuning in Santa Rosa. They're familiar with E34's, and they installed a tranny for me in my M-Sport last year. Was an interesting trip to drive down there (850 miles) without having reverse as that'd crapped out in the tranny. Had to make sure that when I parked somewhere I could just pull straight out.
