Default removing window chrome trims for painting

E34 - can the chrome trims be removed easily and in one piece to be painted black and refitted ?

i done an e39 i owned a few years back and the chrome trims were destroyed trying to remove them but i had the shadowline trim to fit so it was no problem but with the e34 i need to keep them very good so i can paint and refit

is it possible and how is it done?

Part # for e34 window trim clips. These get damaged when removed. Apparently, there are ~24.
