I attached the new pulse generator at the fuel rail end and cable tied it to the Ht lead and made it to Oldham no problem, just still a shitty Idle.

I'm going for electrical tape this morning, going to cut the HT lead, put it on and then splice the HT and tape it up good. If it ****s up I'll look into getting a new set with it on... Lets hope not.

Just a quick one: If the car has been running in 'open loop' or default mode because of this pulse generator being broken will I need to disconnect the battery for a while then put it back on to reset?!

On the positive side I'm 99% sure this will solve my problems now after reading this-

    Default Problem Solved!!!

Cut and spliced the HT lead and slapped the pulse generator on it - disconnected battery for a while... Covered the wire in half a reel of electrical tape to insulate it!

Took it out for a test drive and WOW!!!! It's like a different car! The idle is so much smoother, and the car sounds much more 'regular' if you know what I mean. Ran really smooth too, its been a bit rough lately.

Really pleased with the results, well worth £30. I can't believe I've put up with that idle so long, now I know better it feels amazing.

The MPG is also looking much better, although I drove it sensibly as the radiator connection for the upper hose is a bit dodgy at the moment!
