Default Any one have an idea about 540i/m60 oil canister replacement?

Hi everybody, I just bought a new oil canister for my 540. all work went cool until now, I am stuck with that damn collar nut wich holds the brackets at the end of the oil pipes at the back side of the canister. any body knows the procedure to replace the V8 oil canister?
    any help would be appreciated.

if you go to the engine section, there's plenty of stuff on oil filter canisters.

The v12 is a different animal.

I know what you mean when you say you have difficulty removing the oil filter housing on the m60. If memory serves you need to remove two m6 studs connecting the housing to the engine. And the there is a third bolt connecting both the oilt filter housing and the alternator. After removing these you can pry the housing away, but not much. The two braided hoses are held by a bracket clamped down by a 13 mm nut on the housing. There is also a hardline oil suply to the housing. I'd loosen and remove that first. There are two o-rings at the braided hose connection.

    Still it is not easy.
