wiring for stereo

i have a 92 525i and i am gonna put an aftermarket head unit in it and i was wondering what the best and shortest route for wiring is?

are you going to keep the stock speakers and amp? If so you just need the adapter plug. Just wire one end to the radio and the other end plugs into your stocked plug.
