Rear window tint will cause problems with am reception. Have you got one?

    Default New radio

Hi all, Ive just installed a new CD player on the car,it's a Sony xplod GT270. I like it cause its illumination blends with the rest of the interior. My problem is that now while i do get all FM stations, I'm not getting any AM signal. Any sugestions?

Nope, haven't got tint. Is the antena connection at the back for both FM and AM?

when you hooked up the new stereo, did you remember to make sure the power wire that goes to the diversity antenae box in the drivers rear pillar is still connected to a power source? I had the same problem until I read somewhere in another post that this often gets left unconnected when a new stereo is installed. I would check to see if that is your problem...

I find that head unit with floating ground setup gets the best receptions on AM and FM.

Majority of head units are common ground that gets mediocre FM and horrible AM reception.
