Default head gasket on 1.6 m43?

Ive had to get a new head for a 1.6 m43 engine as the old one was cracked.

Its got a chain on this and I cant seem to see any timing marks that im supposed to line up. I see an arrow on the cam sprocket, however this isnt currently attached to the head, also how do i know that after taking the chain of the cam sprocket that it wont fall off the lower crank sprocket, as the cover is still in place over that.

I cant seem to find any information in the bentley i have here

any help would be most welcome!
