    Default Battery light comes on

So a couple of days ago i was driving home and I notice that my battery light came on.I got home took the back seat out and tested the battery it holds a charge and my alternator is giving out 14.2 volts. What can it be. Also when i open my trunk the light are very dim and my cluster lights come on. Could it be that me LMK is going out or something else.

If the 'battery' light comes on while the engine is running, sounds like your alternator is going bad, not charging correctly. Also could be the battery going bad, or connections on the battery needing cleaning?

Check voltages while engine is running compared to not running, Should be around 13-14 volts while the engine (and therefore alternator) is running.

Edit, just read you did check the voltages...in that case my experience doesn't lend any extra info for you :/
