    Default Water Pump - 95 540

    Hi All.

I'm changing my water pump and can't figure out how to break the 27mm vibration-damper-bolt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Doug.

That's easy... use a breaker bar.

I should have been abit clear, how can I break the bolt (with a breaker bar) and keep the crank from turning.

    Thanks for the reply.

Try with all your belts attached and tensioned.

Default You don't remove the 27mm bolt, you take off the smaller bolts around the hub and

the damper comes off leaving the hub... then there's enough clearance for the water pump

Thanks much Bill! That's what I thought from the Bentley but the damper won't come loose. I didn't want to bang the hell out of it if it was still being held by that large bolt.
Now I'll try to figure out how to pop it off.

    Doug.
