Luck is when good timing meets opportunity.
You didn't swerve and wreck your car, like so many do. So, I would say good luck for you, back luck for said puss.
Ok so last night me and the girlfriend have our 1,486,836,937th fight. She's all POed about whatever.
On my way to work this morning a black cat runs out in front of my 91 E34M50 with 252K miles. I brake, but still hear the "thump". I look in my rear view mirror and see nothing. When I get to work, I inspect for damage. Sure as $hit, my drivers side fog lamp is busted out. Not sure of how that geometry worked out.
So my question is this: Is the cat bad luck or good luck.
Conventional wisdom is a black cat crossing your path is bad luck.
Heck-fire, I hit the cat and is almost sure to have used up one of his remaining lives. So that's good luck, right?

I would say there will be a huge, monster cat waiting for you in the afterworld.
Black cats and snakes just never get any respect.
As for the GF - I hope she is worth the effort - that's a load of fights.
As you are driving a german car, it depends if the cat was crossing left to right or vice versa as to whether it was lucky or not. But if it happened on the 13th it would definitely be lucky.Originally Posted by semiretired

To prove to the cat it could be done.
