Default Found something in the trunk

Was just cleaning out the trunk, found this in the back hanging from the top.

Am I missing something? Flux capacitor?

Hey thanks. That may well be it.

Would have guessed that, but its an RJ45 cable (ethernet).
I would have expected an RJ11(telephone).

I thought maybe it was a removed car pc.

It *looks* like an original Nokia car kit wiring set - they all used RJ45 connectors and the power connector looks identical!

I disagree. That power harness is definitely aftermarket. I've seen that connector thousands of times in aftermarket equipment. But i do think its still a cell phone kit.
I believe the factory cell phone kit had a much different power harness and twist on coaxial antenna cable.

I also own a 1990 e34 M20 and my factory cell phone wiring looks nothing like that picture above.

Mine was the stock NEC anaolgue phone in the console. It also had RJ45 (console to the inside of the LH rear quarter panel), 2.5mm micro jack and power.

With RJ45 wiring, you're ready for in-car VoIP upgrade.
