E32 heater core replacement - pics

My passanger side floor is wet. It is antifreeze. Is it coming from my heater core

No worry, looks more complicated than it is. Just needs time.
We needed recently 5-8 hours in total on an E32 750, just every evening during the week step by step.
Just make sure that you have enough boxes to put the disassembled parts, make notes what was installed where, best is to make pics before disassembling the parts.

Does the 1989 740i and the 735il use the same heater core

should be same, but you can check that on RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog
select with your VIN the correct part number for your car, copy the number and go to the start of realoem again and paste into search by part number and all BMW with the same part number will be shown
