Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but - why do this? Is it just to make the Golf a RWD? Surely there's an easier way??

Posted this a while back, the guy made progress. In short, it's a VW with the frame of an e30. The engine is either an M50 or M52. I didn't go through the whole thread which is here: http://forums.montrealracing.com/sho...d.php?t=283096 ( a bit in French, mostly in English )
The doner e30:
Aaah, the French.....They should stick to Citroen and Peugeot
Vee ave vays of dealing vid your kind...........
Well, it's a French Canadian team. Wrong side of the ocean, dude. We have this reputation of being "des patenteux"... where we do this sort of stuff.

If anybody can find the details of "Nordoff" Vw, you will find VW did that before anybody, putting a 928s4 engine in a Mk1 golf-in 1975! God it was frightening. There recent effort, putting a W12 in a mk5 is equally bad, watch TG.
