Default Idler arm came damaged. Return it? Pics inside

This idler arm just came in today, and I noticed its kind of dented up. The side is bent in... looks like someone banged it out after installing it...

Im really in no big hurry... What would you suggest I do?

    A) You paid for a new part, thats the condition it should come in. Return it.

    B) its fine... Throw it on and hope for the best.

    Its bavauto.com btw...

Doesn't look too bad, if you have the choice tho, replace it...

IMO it doesn't look like it will effect performance of the part. I gues it depends on how much effort it takes to return it and if you need it right away. Most of my returns I have them ship me a new part right away (They charge my credit card and credit it back apon receipt) and I ship the part back to them (On their dime).

It looks to have been hammered in. If the bush turns then it's okay but this is indicative of poor quality part I'd say.

    Where was it ordered?

For the trouble/time it would take to send it back, you may just want to instal it (as folks have said, it should work fine). However, call the place you got, maybe send some photos etc. Who knows, maybe they'll throw you a bit of credit. Can't hurt.

How easy should it be to turn? I was trying by hand but couldn't... Is it a ball bearing?

    It was ordered from Bavauto.com

I guess ill return it, no sense in installing a possibly defected part. Mine is making noise, so hopefully it will last for at least 2 more weeks.
