That's kind of a tough question as each model has its pros and cons. My personal biased choice is a 535i 5-speed but they're hard to find and 1993 is the last year. I guess the next choice would be a newer 525i, nice motor with some pretty good power...decent gas mileage too. The 530i or the 540i is probably what I'll buy for myself next, I'm leaning toward a 1995 540i 6-speed but once again, they're hard to find, and you have to do your homework on the Nikasil issues. If the budget allows (or wifey), perhaps an M5 or a 540i sport. This is my humble opinion on how I see the choices of replacements. Your results may vary...lol! Cheers!
