Default Broken Radiator Drain Plug - 95 530

Hey guys, havent been around in a while had a busy 2007 and all my new employers block message boards.

So I was investigating a coolant leak and found it at the radiator drain plug. After just touching the plug, it popped off. Its broken off right at the first thread.

So I am gonna get a new plug and hope I can manage to get the piece stuck in drain out.

Anyone ever had to do this? Advice on doing that? If all else fails just plug the hole permanently, which I know is a bad idea?

    Thanks

I would take out the radiator and remove it of all liquids. See if you can get that piece out of there and fish it out whatever. If you need to plug it maybe you can drill and tap a new or have a repair shop weld on a new one.
