    Default Auxiliary fan is stuck

The aux fan wont turn on under any condition (a/c, hot, cold) and its very hard to turn it manually.

Does that mean the motor is gone?

How do I remove it? (the bentley isn't of gread help)

Sorry but your fan must be replaced. I recently replaced my condenser to which the fan is attached. I removed the front bumper which required peeling back the rubber about half way and removing the 4 bolts holding it on. Next I unplugged the side lights, outside temp sensor and fogs. Withthe bumper removed you might be able to remove the fan without removing the condenser but I doubt it. I also took the 2 clips holding the radiator off and lifted it out of the way. this gave me a little more room to operate. Plan on buying new radiator retaining clips.

Am I mistaken, or can you pull the whole bumper by removing the 8 bolts that hold the mounts in, without removing the headlights?

Yes the whole bumper will come out w/ just the 4 mounting bolts. Very easy actually. Just watch the wires (fog lights temp probe etc...) The bolts on the fan aren't that easy to get at, but once they are loose the fan just comes down through the opening created by taking the bumper off.

Mine was stuck by rubber trim molding coming off lower bumper cover and stopping fan. I could still move the fan by hand but like you said it was hard to move. All I had to do was replace the high speed resistor after I took rubber strip out of the way. Rare I know but if your lucky maybe thats all it is. Good luck.
