"stuff" has prevented me from attending any races this year and I am nostalgic for the sounds and smells of race cars. Some of my favorites;
The F1 V-12 Ferraris of fifteen or so years ago make an absolutely unearthly shrieking that is music to my ears.
Close proximity to a top fuel dragster is an assault on all your senses that leaves you in actual pain.
Aircraft radial engines, any and all.
My former neighbor's Harley with a ton of compression and way too much cam.
The intake roar on Dad's Buick with air cleaner lid flipped over.

I love the Shell ad where they show the different Ferrari F1 cars through the ages, - I always turn the tv waaaay up. My favourite is the one on the road course that enters the tunnel. I could listen to a recording of that all day.
