    Default brake booster vacume valve

1989 525I m-20. there is a small plastic valve that is between the throttle body and the brake booster it has two lines from the throttle body and one to the brake booster.on the bottom line of the valve there seems to be a small vent orfice,it is sucking air and does have a slight effect on my idle speed.is this valve bad? or is this a normal vent design. thanks bones

The nipple is broken from the valve. You need to plug the hole or you'll run a little lean.
