Yesterday when I got in the car I noticed there was a piece of circular plastic trim around the ignition barrel that clips on to the barrel and into the rest of the steering column shroud. It had worked loose and was dangling over the key hole but what surprised me was that there were two wires connected to this piece.
I've seen cars with a circular light that light up the ignition barrel but I'm sure I don't have one of these, I was wondering if anyone else has theirs lit up or knows what the two wires are for?

Yeah, all cars post '92-'94 were fitted with transponder keys - dont lose the keys cos they cost anything upto £130 from the dealer, programmed.Originally Posted by leicesterboy15
