    Default IAC valve

Some of you may be aware of an off idle stumble I've been chasing on the wagon.
The IAC valve has been cleaned, isn't stuck, buzzes and responds to changes in load when drive is engaged or a/c activated. The transition to idle from running is sometimes a bit sloppy though.
The resistance of mine is well out of the Bentley spec, 20 ohms, 20ohms, 40 ohms. Mine is 12, 12, 24.
My question is how meaningful is the resistance of those coils? This is a >$100 part I'd rather not guess with. I'd pop the one out of my E39 as it's the same # but I don't forsee getting it off without removing the intake.
    Buy an IAC???

F.Y.I. boys and girls. The specs given in Bentley don't seem to apply to the Bosch #0280140545 used in M50s, BMW's # ending 1-744-713.
I had the ($150)opportunity to check a brand new one from BMW, it gave virtually identical readings as my old one.
    Between terminals 1&2 12.1 ohms, between 2&3 10.9 ohms, 1&3, 22.8 ohms.
Valves from my M30 and M60 checked out to the bentley spec.
