Radio Code for '95 525

Greetings-

I received the radio code for my bimmer. It's an Alpine radio. Well, it doesn't seem to be working. There is a beep when you depress one of the digits, sometimes the first digit, sometimes the last digit but still- radio doesn't take.

Any ideas or solutions?

If it beeps the code is being entered wrong.
Leave the ign on for 15 minutes without touching it, then try again.
