Holy crap! Volvos SUCK!
OK, not really. But I just finished my wife's PCV system on her 1998 V70 GLT. What a $%@#$^%#$^&#$%^@#$!
Are all turbos that bad, or just Volvo? I had to remove the fuel rail, throttle cable, throttle body, and intake manifold just to get at the bastard. No wonder a shop charges $600 plus for this job!
I'm over it; from now on, nothing but NA and displacement for me (her.) I've spotted a couple of nice E39 540 wagons out there that I might convince her to go for. What are the mechanical gotchas for those beasties? TIA, all.
Or, I might cave in and buy one of those there purty 2001 e38's I've been eyeballing. 740i, mmmmmmmmm. Advice?
