Default How many electric motors in an E34?

At a restaurant I overheard a man say the new 7 series have seventy x electric motors in them.
After a look at the Bentley wiring diagrams a loaded V8 Canadian touring seems to have the most. I count 58!
It's a wonder there aren't more electrical gremlins in these cars.

I really love em new 7series but give it 10-15years...I wonder how much of a headache this cars would be...considering almost all of the parts are motorized and computerized...
