Plastic Door Molding Trouble

I am finding that I am replacing one of these moldings on a regular basis. Seems like they rust at the back there the final clip is and they start to stick out. Is this a normal occurance for the rest of you?

These are not the ones at the bottom of the door - but the ones that run across the middle.
