Default Yes you can tune a forced induction BMW without MegaWizz

I finished tuning a 93 325iS with 7 psi and a s/c on the weekend. Next season the owner will install an S52 with lower CR and higher boost, I'll tune that one also. Here is that thread:

Yesterday, I started tuning a 94 Euro M3 turbo which has a kit from DA Motorsports. First thing we did was rip out that TSI fuel computer and return the wiring back to stock.

I've added a few pictures of this car here:

It ran really well for it's first time out, but there are a few oil leaks that occurred under boost which have to get sorted out before I continue tuning.

Remember, the best ECU to use on your BMW is the factory one.

Perhaps, but can a chip extrapolate the fuel maps once installed for maximum tune ? No....not to mention if any changes in componet's are made,so must the chip.
For a 7 psi build, a chip may be the way to go. For more than that....the MS-II V3 would be the best (cost wise) choice. For me anyway.
Aren't the custom chips about 3-400 bux ? A fully built MS with spark, fuel, timing and sensors along with harness prebuilt is about 525$.
I'm just glad we have options.Guys like MarkD stepping up have definatly helped many a car run better. Jon K's effort with MS in the E34 have opened up some good things too.
    Cheers,Vinny
