I don't own the car the radio is from, he gave it to me because the local dealer wanted to carge him $50 to look it up. The parts guys at the dealer I usually use will probably give it to me but I have no need for parts now, hallelujah.
Another board member wants to buy it and i'd like to see if it even works before I sell it.

There are tools available on the net that will get you the radio code, as long as you have it out and have the serial numbers printed on the unit ready.

I will not paste links to you in case it is of illegal activity, but be constructive and google something along the lines of "<insert manufacturer of radio here> radio code"

Read the posts. No one can give you the code. The sources recomended or the dealer are your only options I am aware of.

BTW, what does this mean? "The guy I carjacked died before I could get it out of him."

Sure sounds like it is stolen. Hope it is just poorly written.

    I bought a cd43 without the code.
I called bill jacobs in naperville and those thieves wanted to charge $75 for admin fees to get the code. They also said it would take a couple of days to get it for me.

I stopped by the Patrick BMW in schaumburg in person with purchase info / ser# and they gave me the code in 2 minutes.

I'm never stepping foot at bill jacobs.
