    Default alignment w/weights

I'm putting new tires on my 95 525i and need to have the wheels aligned.

Has anyone had an alignment done without using weights in various parts of the car?

    Will it make any difference?

Every tire store I have talked to says they don't do it and that it doesn't make any difference.

Is the dealer the only place that will do it with the weights?

    Thanks...............

i just had it aligned with a full tank of gas, I wouldnt worry about the weights. The way they say to weigh the car down is wrong in my book, do you always drive with all that weight in there or just you, or you and another person? Let them point the wheels straight and be done with it.

Think somebody has seen an article on corner-weighting a car.Forgget it,tried it on an M5 `91 once and it took all day with coilovers and made absolutely no difference at all, unless you are Hans Stuck!
