Look up Winfred in the member list on the forum. He is affiliated with German Auto Recyclers Their site has all the contact info you'd need. HTH

Edit: Didn't notice that you were looking for a list. Oops. Anywho, one of Shogun's recent posts had a link to BMW parts distributors list.

Thanks but I've talked to Euro Depot, Winfred & I think Greenleaf if its in Mass. Trying to find a clean wide grill hood for my 95 525iT & they seem to be scarce so I'm expanding the search. Lots of narrow grill hoods out there so I may go that route & change the grills & surround so the 95 matches my 535i.

why not try for new? you're going to have to fill, sand and paint a crappy one. A new one just get's primed and painted. when you add it all up you may only be off by a hundy. I have a chipped up wide grill if you want one stashed up in the rafters of my garage somewhere
    .

and a whole euro spec 530 if you really want an upgraded wide greeel

    John,

if you haven't already tried- check www.car-part.com . Basically a search engine of participating Salvage yards- you enter the year/make/model and type of part you want and it will return any matches. Inventory data seems to be quite stale sometimes, but it can be helpful to see what these places have parts listed for (ALWAYS negotiate...) and who has what. Who knows, you might find something close by- this will save on shipping. I can tell you from experience that shipping a large piece of sheet metal such as a hood is risky, both in terms of cost and the likelyhood that it WILL get damaged in transit.

And of course- if you need a narrow grille hood- I've got that 91 that I'm not parting- it's Black (Schwarz)- and complete with a bad tranny and some misc dents and dings in the body.

The reason I'm looking for used part sources/prices is that the adjuster did the estimate using new BMW parts & they totalled my Touring. I'm currently fighting that & trying to get them to rewrite the estimate using used parts. So far I've found everything except the illusive 95 hood. I need to get the estimate down $1100 which should happen with used prices but I have to show an actual source for the "insurance grade" part.

If that doesn't work out I may buy it back depending on how high the salvage bid is that I have to match. Problem is after the repair I have to flatbed the Touring across the state for a rebuilt title inspection which would be a real PITA.

Ended up buying it back for the salvage bid & still ended up with more then we paid for it a couple months ago. All damaged parts are stripped & both the condenser & radiator survived. Still have to decide between a used narrow grill hood or a new wide grill style.
