Default OT: jump-started my 2 CV with the 750

Got the Charleston 2 CV out of the shed to clean it and run the engine a bit. Did not start after 2 years in the shed.
Starter was stuck, removed, disassembled and cleaned it, then found that the ignition did not spark. Repaired that one too and then the engine was running.
The car is out of the last production year and has only 1.200 kilometers on the clock. Here 3 pics

Now that is an engine bay.

I love to see how older cars are organized under the hood. Local BMW had an old Mini that was a hoot to see. You get the feeling things were simpler then...

Why is it lifted in the back?

    parts, chassis shot blasting etc.

Why is it lifted in the back?
Because shocks and springs are like new, that car is from the last production year till June 1990, was built in Portugal and a grey import to Japan.
Very rare now in such condition and low mileage and with the original Charleston colors.

Well, it has 750 miles on the clock, so it should be like new and it is.
For the first 2 years after buying it brand-new I drove some days in summer when weather was nice, and now it is just parked in the shed and waits to get old and valuable. Prices are already picking up. Sometimes I let the engine run and clean it, change oil etc.
Probably one of the world's best condition 2CV with lowest mileage.

One of my old school mates inherited a Porsche 924 2.0 Turbo with that mileage on, got the shock of his life when he was clearing out his grandads place and had to use a set of bolt cutters to get into the shed...
