Default :: Which tire to choose this year?

    Falken 512 $500 CAD
    Fuzion ZRi $550 CAD

    or other currency...

    Falken 512 $447 USD
    Fuzion ZRi $492 USD

That's the out the door price for 235/45-17. I was considering the General Exclaim UHPs again... but they are only one or two bucks cheaper than the Falkens... so...

My car had Fuzion Zri's on when i bought it. I went t\with the Hri's for the Winter here in NH .The one day i did drive it over the roads in heavy unplowed snow it was no fun, starting from a stop was next to impossible but they're great on wet or dry pavement. I regualrly try to breka traction rounding highway on and offramps to learn that point better and really have to gun it in a low gear while cutting hard to break and it grabs preety quick thereafter so i judge them to be a safe tire. If i need tires before midsummer I'll go with the Zri's again.

I have the Falken 512's and they really are a decent tire. Get a bit noisey after about 20k miles though. Stable, smooth, all around decent tire for the money.

i had the fuzion zri's on my 01 s10 sport truck(vortech 6, 5spd, 275/40/16's) and they were great in wet and dry, rarely ever hydroplaned, tread lasted longer than expected. Not sure how they would work on a heavy sedan, id pick those over the falkens though.
