    Default Need a LKM module for a 1989 535i

Had some messed up light and figure out it was the LKM module. Started trying to resolder the LKM module and found out that the relay on the brights was burned up. So it looks like I will need a replacement LKM module.

    Where can I get one?

Does not matter which year, also do you have an LKM-L or LKM-B?
B stands for basic version, L for luxus version.
Main difference of the LKM L is that it can also check the bulbs while lights are off, while the B can only check the bulbs while they are on.
Then some other things linke 'door open" chime etc.

I have some LKM here in Japan, but the postage to USA probably exceeds the price of a used LKM.
Don't throw the old one away, you might need it later as spare for parts such as the relay inside.
    Here are some

Maybe you buy the one for 60 $ from bavarianbmwparts.
Or someone here has one for sale at a cheaper price.
