    Default Cleaning the engine

I want to hose the engine down and understand that I should cover the electronics.

What specifically do I need to cover, and what do I use to cover things with?

    Default What to cover...

I'd say your e- and fuse boxes in rear corners of the engine bay, along with the airbag crash sensors (orange cylinders on wheel wells).... at least that's what I loosly wrap with misc. trash bags to keep dry. AND be careful not to get water down in the spark plug wells... will trickle down there under the valve cover "cover"... (at least on the I-6) I just use diluted simple green, very gentle hose, little brush, and cloth. Hope this helps.
