Default installed my Euro Smileys with motors

For anyone interested, basically color match the wires from the motors to the switch pigtail, black to black, brown to brown, yellow to yellow. Add a ground to the brown wire and 12+ to the yellow, and you have control...

Hurrah for stepper motors! To test the motors apply 12+ to yellow, and ground to borwn for one way, and apply 12+ to black and yellow, brown still to ground for the reverse motion.

black wiring, black car, black of night... not conducive to good pictures.

Forgive the poor quality (and unwashed car), I'm either working in 1/2 direct sunlight, 1/2 shade, or at night. Neither one is conducive to good picture taking on automatic, with or without flash.

Taking it one side at a time...

Harness before heatshrinking. It's 18ga wire in extra thick insulation (trailer harness). I figured if it can take the abuse of being exposed on a trailer, underhood should be child's play, especially after heatshrinking it.
PLus it was a LOT cheaper ($12) better insulated and more compact than buying 3 individual wires at autozone etc.

bringing the now heatshrunk harness out for light motor 1

after heatshrinking everything to look as factory as humanly possible

one side working, no check errors!!!

City lights instead of parking lamp.

    No more US spec

The switch. 0 to 1 is not a huge difference, but 1 to 2 or 2.3 (it goes a little farther than 2) IS a huge difference. I'll try to shoot some vid when I get around to plugging the headlight back in on the driver's side.

Still need to go finish buttoning everything up. I just didn't feel like working on it with all the wind today. At some point I will take them back off and use SEM chipguard on the lenses.

Dude, you've got some messed up rain wherever you live... Do you live next to a power plant or something?

What's wrong with city light and parking light in blinker? That's the way mine was installed.

Now if you get a tow package, you can use the motors as intended.

    good job

That's not rain, that's from the tap water here.

IT makes washing a black car a real pain since you have to wash at night and dry it to avoid hard water spots, then wax to get rid of the ones that do turn up.
