Finally pictures (big!) of my Blue 540m6

Too satisfy the curiosity of all that have asked, thanks for the interest by the way,
I've finally gotten around to posting the before and, well current, pics of my new Orient Blue 540 6 speed. Well I guess its not exactly new now, but I've been away working (and playing!!) in the home land!

I really wanted a Schwartz or Daytona Violet one. (Silver is so last season!!) Spent about 6 months waiting for the right E34 looking everywhere I could think of. a black one never materialised! Half the problem with these cars is just trying to find the right colour combination. (Blue on blue comfort leather just doesn’t do it for me!) Then theirs spec options, and the whole engine thing! I discovered this one in March 2006 at an independent stealer, advertised as purple and fully loaded. I drove 150 miles to take a look. There were a couple of options missing and the purple turned out to be blue. But after a test drive and mulling over a few photos I started to fall in love! We agreed a price and I gave them about 6 weeks to get a few issues sorted. And then finally I became the new proud owner.





It’s now got 197,000 miles on her and feels like new. Full service history for what it’s worth, I now do most of the work myself, I know its done properly that way! And the engine was replaced at 95,000 miles under the warranty and has receipts to prove.

Nothing really radical here, just a few subtle tweaks: Orient Blue on silver-grey sports leather, smoked lights, M-Tech Suspension, Powerflex Subframe mounts and Bushes, 850CSI 4-Pot Brembro’s, M-Parallels 8.5 & 9.5 front-rear, US infill plate, colour coded the front bumper trim so far.




Nice to know what you guys and gals think. Not looking for approval, just sharing the current love of my life!!

Our cars may look alike but we don't all think alike... I hate having to explain myself and its usually because someone assumes something not in evidence. Let it suffice to say i am jealous , very jealous that he can hop a ferry and drive the "Ring" whenever he pleases... OK???????????????
