my car had green in it when i bought it, i replaced it with blue. Both can be used, blue is better.

i heard prestone is the one to lookout for. Aparently it eats away at the aluminum... Is this true?

Green, orange, blue...
I had a horrible experience with orange coolant in my GMC Envoy. Cost the warrantee company $1,000 because I let that **** kill the water pump rather than pay the $250 for the chemical flush.
I would not use anything but BMW coolant. The piece of mind is worth twice the price difference.

I just changed mine on my '91 525. I used the Zerex G05 (Yellow). Here's a link to product info, and a neat chart that Zerex provides. BTW, I picked up the coolant at Autozone for somewhere around $10.99.
