Default WTB: hotrod valves & springs

... and is it worth it?

I think I'm going to rebuild the whole thing at this point, have to regrind a valve and replace 2 rocker arms and a rocker shaft so it's pretty much got to come all the way apart.

I've heard of gas-filled valves, stelite (?) tips, racing springs, 57-angle valve grinds...

Does anyone have experience with building up a non-stock head and does it really matter? Is BMW stock close to hot-rot or will there be more power with more expensive parts?

I don't plan on RPMs above 6500 or so.

    THANKS!!! Appreciate the comments.

Robin, the stock parts are more than adequite for the job, aside of wasting money you wont see or be able to dyno a difference.

Unless you're planning on building a serious track car no need to waste money here... stock valvetrain is enough for pretty decent amount of boost as well
