Default Anybody replace their idler arm?

I just replace mine today with a new lemforder arm. Did not replace tie rods or center link. Struts and upper thrust arms/bushings were replaced last year.

I swear the butt dyno says there is a tighter steering response. The old idler arm had a very small amount of play. Perhps 1/64 to 1/32 of an inch deflection at max.

Anyway just my experience. BTW, I used the loaner 5 piece front end service kit from Advance Auto. Did the trick.
    Thanks,

Yeah I did my idler and steering box pitman arms a year and a half ago, with genuine BMW parts. The old pitman arm teeth were so badly worn away the sideways play was unbelievable! Now it's great - no shakes, shudders, knocks or rattles!

    Cheers,
