I have heard that you need a microfilter that can be split in 2 pieces in order to get it into a RH car. But i am not sure whether I will have to order a different microfilter than the LHD one. I checked on Real OEM and there was a couple of choices for my car and it says to refer to SI 640192462. Could anyone enlighten me as to whether i can just order a LHD one, since I only get my parts from the US.

Ask if you do not find it.
yeah i have read a few of them I think my question is not so much about the process as sourcing the part, but I will have a quick look.
my question is whether the RHD uses the same microfilter as the LHD mainly.

Rob,
No experience on my part with RHD. I do recall reading (here I think) about the job on right drive cars. My recollection is the job is more difficult but there was no mention of a different part than for LHD. For sure the dealer would know a part # for Oz spec cars. Easy enough to then compare with US internet vendors.

To my knowledge, the RHD and LHD microfilters are the same overall shape because they both go in the same HVAC box, but I'm not sure how you'll get a non-split version past the pedals into a RHD car. It's annoying enough getting the little bastard in with the split.
