Default Help me diagnose front end

The front end on my 525i is pretty solid, but when I let off the brakes after a complete stop it feels like something is springing back into place. Hard to describe. It doesn't always do it. Most noticeable at very slow speeds on an incline with a somewhat abrupt stop. It's a large feeling, like the wheel springing back into the correct location or something.

Possibly related, but there is a shimmy when braking in gear down hill at around 40mph. It doesn't do it on flat ground, which makes me think the suspension is loaded a certain way to accentuate a bad bushing.

    It's got 182k miles.

I'll be replacing the struts sometime during the next week or 2.

sounds like the thrust arm bushings. If you get a clunk at the slow stop thing then the balljoints are bad too.

If you jack one side off the ground and try to wiggle the tire front and back you should see the tire going front and back indicating bad thrust arm bushings. I went with the M5 bushings and havent had a problem since.
