Cats Wanted

Hello All
Does anyone have any cats going for 540i V8 ? Mine are rattling badly when cold and just wondered if anyone had any spare, rather than buy brand new ones.

Cut out old cats and weld Magnaflow cats onto old pipes... both cats will cost you less than $200 and probably around $300 labor.

If you were to follow Tiger's advice, I would buy the MPE-59953. They are a 1.75" inlet/outlet size and are a spun metallic cat which has proven higher flow than honeycomb cats.

If you're in the US and want a set of no-hassle bolt in replacements, I have the OEM units from my 740 parts car. Exact same thing as the 540 parts. They work great. Bolt and go.
