    Default Transmission Specialists???

Hey well I joined this forum just to find this out

My 535i (88 Private Import Germany) transmision just **** it self, I done some searching and found a couple of possible causes but don't have the time patients or tools to deal with it myself, I was wondering if anyone could refer me to a good tranny man in Brisbane Australia. It didn't even go into the crap 3rd gear mode just nothing off the light much to the dissapointment of the 40 cars behind me at the lights, Let it cool down and drove only 3k's (my driveway) before I lost all drive again, works after turning it off but not for long.

What was the problem in that case? I have a horrible whiring noise once it's warmed up, I was having a closer look as it broke in the dark, noise goes away when I put it in drive so I am thinking torque converter for sure but would like the opinion of someone who knows
