You are right Winfred. But has anyone reading this thread ever purhcased a car without taking a peek at the odometer? And if you suspected it was broken; were you using ESP, or did you look at the odometer / then the car / and found that the two did not match up?

would for sure be a rust bucket. Even in your neck of the woods I would be wary, have it checked by someone familiar with the model. Really nice cars though, always liked 'em.

lucky pricks thats cheap, around here those cost 5k and upwards for newer e24s. I have heard that the e12 suspension is more resilient than the e28, that is to say the bushes are quite so weak as they are on the e28. I've heard people say its not simply a matter of the e28 suspension being "better". the earlier 6ers look nice and owning a 1982 m30 (e28) bmw myself I can tell you they aren't that bad.
