    Default wheel sizes

I'm considering buying a set of 16 or 17 inch alloys on ebay to replace my standard 15s.

Which other models' wheels will fit the e34? (eg e39, e46?)

I beleive some may need spacers

    Thanks

    Default No 3 Series Wheels

    You'll need 20mm of spacer.

    look for E34, 32, 31, & 39 (with hubcentric rings)

What he said. Spacers just dont work well. Wheels that fit an e39 work just fine on an e34, with hubcentric rings.

I had good service and prices, with lakeshore wheel and tire- got a set of 17 inch M5 reps, with pirelli p6's mounted, Roadforce ballanced, all lugs, center caps and centric rings ,shippped for total of $1125.
If you put on 18" wheels, hope your road surfaces are smooth and have no potholes- pretty easy to prang a rim when your tires are not much thicker than rubber bands- and if your car is lowered, the ride will be rougher than a cob.

DON'T USE 3 SERIES WHEELS, I USED THE SPACERS! Not only do they look sucked in, they don't drive nice and under any rigorous driving they couod pop right off! :-O!!!!

So, take my advice, don't be stupid like me.
Besides, 5-series wheels look so much better altogether.

All BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 wheels are interchangable and have the same specs EXCEPT the E39 5 series hub.

    They all have:
    • 5x120 wheel bolt pattern
    • 11mm-32mm wheel offset range
    • 72.56mm wheel hub (except the e39 5series which has a 74.1mm hub...hub centric rings are required)

All...even includes the new 5/6/7 models.

The BMW 3/Z3/Z4/X3/X5 models have wheel offsets that are too high (35mm-48mm) and would require wheel spacers (just as others have mentioned. EXCEPT the e30 M3 & E46 M3...their rear wheel offset is approx 25mm...so you could conceivably mount these rear wheels (only) on all four corners.
